Directions. : Pune > old Pune-Mumbai highway > Khopoli > Mahad.

Most of my trip are unplanned and are without maps. This was also one of the unplanned trips. The temple is easily reachable from the old Mumbai - Pune highway. (Just two kilometers off the highway). The  lord Ganesha temple at "Mahad" is one of the Ashtavinayak ( Eight temples of lord Ganesha). Two day drips to all the Ashtavinayak temples can be taken up by car or by bus tours operated by various travel companies.
