Ashtavinayak - Pali

“Ashtavinayak’ refers to eight temples dedicated to lord Ganesha, these are related to different legends from Puran.

We decided to cover the temples at Pali (Ballaleshwar) and Mahad  (Varadhvinayak) being on the same route. The Lord Ganesha at Pali is called Ballaleshwar, named after devotee Ballal. Once at the parking, the Fort ‘Sarasgad’ welcomes you in its grandeur. Ballaleshwar temple is situated in the foothills of the mountain and the fort.

The Lord Ganesha at Mahad temple is called “Varadvinayak”, also knows as “Icchapurti Ganesh” , English translation would mean “bestower of boons”.
