Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple,

The famous sleeping statue of Lord Ranganatha can be seen here. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the temple. Outside the temple, there are lot of handicrafts shops specially of wooden toys. Locals sell these items at a  very reasonable price.

Srirangapatnam is located on the Mysore-Bangalore highway and is at a distance of 15 KM from Mysore. Place holds great religious, cultural and historic importance. This was the capital of Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. The area where Tipu Sultan’s dead body was found is well marked.
